My old battery was dying, and any time the computer was not plugged into the wall it would turn off. I purchased this particular battery instead of one from [...] because the ones on Apple’s site had gotten poor reviews about the battery life. In buying this, I carefully followed the instructions about how to fully charge and deplete the battery in order to ensure it could take a full charge for the battery life. Unfortunately, following the instructions didn’t make a difference. While it is an improvement from my old battery, it will only stay charged for about 1.5-2 hours max, but takes longer than that to charge. Don’t waste your money.

I needed a new battery for my Powerbook. I found a non-Apple one for 66 dls here on Amazon and this one: “APPLE M9572G/A Lithium Ion Battery for 12 inch PowerBook” with a big link to “other products by Apple”. Well, it looks like a real Apple battery, so I got the real Apple battery even though it cost 50% more.

I was surprised to open my package when it arrived and see a “TruePower Premium Powerbook Battery”.

I haven’t even opened the box yet. Because I need the damn battery now, I’m probably going to keep it, but I can’t help it but feel ripped off. I think the whole thing is quite dishonest. Hopefully it’s a decent battery and it matches the look of my Powerbook.

I bought this through Amazon from AllMac. You’ve been warned.

First off, I can't believe Applecare didn't provide a replacement... I mean, I shelled out extra for it and thought it would be covered. Boo to you Apple!

Anyway, I bought this and it arrived < weeks time. Came new-in-box, which was packed and cushioned. At first, I doubted it because it was in just a plastic bag [once you removed the foaming]. However, it turned out to be a genuine Apple product.

I plugged it in and checked the statistics on it to make sure it was BRAND new and never used, which it turned out to be [To check, press apple logo, about this Mac, more information, and then Power and scroll down to battery statistics. Cycle count should be at "0", i.e meaning new]

Make sure when you buy this... or any other battery, you break it in / calibrate it properly. They are MANY different ways but this is the one I used.

1. Full charge overnight
2. Use till discharged to 20% [Heavy use in my case]
3. Charge for 6+ hours
4. Use till < 10% then full charge again.

After that, use as you normally would.

Oh, and I definitely recommend my seller - "mac_pro_online". I bought it for SO much cheaper: $80 w/o shipping or tax [Apple charges you $130 for the same thing!!]

I was very pleased at how fast I received my shipment. The screen was supposed to be shipped in 3-5 days and actually made it in 2 which was faster then the ram I just ordered from Crucial which was supposed to ship within one. I would have given this product a 5 out of 5 but the screen did seem a little dull and washed out compared to my old macbook screen, but with a little tweaking in the color calibrator I was able to get some decent color out of it. If you need a 13.3 inch screen go with these guys. I have searched everywhere and they have the best deal ever!

This is the correct screen for replacing a Macbook (black) 13.3in, which is not a particularly hard replacement to do. it took about 20 for me to take it apart and installed.

The only problem is that it seems to be a LITTLE washed out with brightness. But it still looked great in my opinion. I played with the calibration and it helped a lot. If you buy this, you may even say that it looks fine! I like to play with settings, so im a picky person.

The shipper sent the screen wrapped in a bunch of bubble wrap, which may not be the best way, but truthfully i cant think of a better way if i had a bunch of screens out of box. I ordered it on Friday and got it Monday! It didn't have any finger prints or anything on it. I really was brand new.

Bottom line: Buy it. Rating: 4 / 5

Got this supper fast and followed the on-line instructions I found to replace the screen. This is not for beginners! It took me some time (2 hours) but when I was done everything worked great and I didn’t have any extra screws! You will have to take the entire laptop apart and I mean everything.

No more cracked screen! I’m back in business with a nice bright display.
